PRO Microneedling, also known as percutaneous collagen induction therapy, is a safe, minimally invasive, and effective aesthetic treatment for several different dermatologic conditions including acne and other scars, fine lines, wrinkles, and stretch marks.

PRO Microneedling works by creating multiple micro-channels on the skin,
inducing a controlled skin injury with minimal epidermal damage and stimulating the dermal wound healing cascade to take place. This leads to the release of various growth factors, increase of collagen and elastic fibres depositions over weeks, resulting in skin tightening, improvement of fine lines and wrinkles, scars, and stretch marks.

What are the contraindications to the Pro Microneedling?
Active infection, acne, keloid predisposition, immunosuppression are general contraindications for Pro microneedling. However, a series of standard questions of Risk Assessment will be asked to ensure you're suitable for the treatment.

How do I prepare my skin prior to this treatment?
7 days prior to Microneedling, please avoid sun exposure and stop using peeling agents (AHA, BHA, etc.)
48 hours prior: stop using active ingredients such as Vitamin A, B (Niacinamide), Vitamin C, etc.

Is there any downtime post treatment?
Immediately post treatment it is expected to have mild erythema and oedema (swelling) for 48-72 hours.

What are the expected side effects?
Common expected side effects of treatment include mild erythema, localised oedema (swelling), and skin flaking, which typically resolves within 48-72 hours.
Pinpoint bleeding is self-limited and resolves within minutes after the procedure with application of gentle manual pressure and cool-compress.
How often can I be treated with Pro microneedling?
Generally, the recommended treatment intervals are every 2-4 weeks until desired clinical outcomes are achieved. ​
For maintenance purposes, clients can have the treatment on an annual or semiannual basis to maintain or enhance cosmetic results.

What aftercare advice should I follow after the treatment?
After 0–4h: apply hyaluronic acid gel
After 4–72h: use nonallergic moisturiser, physical sunblock SPF 30+
After 48h: apply mineral makeup application
After 5–7 days: resume active product use
