ABOUT THE HOLLYWOOD FACIAL

A deep exfoliation treatment via the vaporisation of carbon particles when interact with laser beam. A layer of carbon will be applied and massaged on to the skin, which let the carbon particles adhere to superficial skin cells. The explosion of the carbon particles subsequently cause the removal of dead skin cells.

FAQs

How do I prepare my skin prior to this facial?

At least a week before this facial, please avoid sun exposure and stop using peeling agents (AHA, BHA, etc.)

48 hours before, stop using active ingredients such as Vitamin A, B (Niacinamide), Vitamin C.

What should I expect during the treatment?

You can expect audible popping or crackling sound occur at each laser pulse until the laser carbon has been completely removed

Is there any downtime post treatment?

This treatment has no downtime at all. The only effects can be expected post treatment is transient erythema and oedema, which subsides after 12-48hrs. Mild exfoliating effect will occur and last up to 3 days post treatment. 

What aftercare advice should I follow after the treatment?

Please wear sun protection with minimum SPF30+ or SPF50+ when you're at the beach. 

Stop using active ingredients 2 days after treatment to avoid unnecessary skin reactions.

Keep skin well moisturised and hydrated with basic moisturisers.

After 3 days, it is safe to resume your normal skincare routine.
